West African Bible School Announces Second Graduating Class
Global Servants is proud to announce the second graduating class of their Bible school in West Africa. On July 24, 2005 nineteen graduates completed the course of study in good standing! Four years ago Global Servants opened a co-ed Bible school at their headquarters in Kumasi, Ghana so that West African students can receive the training they need in order to be effective pastors. The school uses an Assemblies of God curriculum from ICI University. ICI is specifically designed to meet the needs of international students. The students take classes in everything from how to study their Bibles, to Christian counseling, to marriage and family training. The school limits each course to an enrollment of twenty in order to provide a vital, one-on-one student/ teacher, learning environment. Each class embarks on a two year course of study and finishes prepared to face the challenges of pastoring in West Africa. Many of these graduates have gone on to work in Global Servant’s churches in villages that have been previously unreached by Christianity.
Present Needs
Our Pastors
Global Servants presently supports more than 40 pastors across West Africa. Many of these men pastor in remote villages and have no means of transportation. Global is working to provide each of these men with a motorcycle. The cost per bike is $750.
Our Day-Cares
Global Servants wanted to reach out to the communities of West Africa in a way that would provide much needed help in their difficult lives and also begin relationships with unsaved families. Day-cares have proved to be the perfect solution! The childcare facility in Wale Wale, a predominantly Muslim community, has been a wonderful form of side-door evangelism!
Ghana, Burkina Faso & Togo
Everyday, somewhere in West Africa the good news of the Gospel is being preached because of the efforts of Global Servants. From the dry barrens deserts of Burkina Faso, to remote villages of Konkomba tribes, to the bustling metropolis of Kumasi, people all over West Africa are becoming Christians because of the evangelism work of Global Servants.
