Clean Water Brings Health, New Wells in 2026

Global Servants

For many communities across West Africa, clean water is not a given—it is a daily challenge that shapes health, education, and survival. As 2026 begins, Global Servants is stepping forward with renewed purpose, bringing clean, safe water to villages that have waited far too long.

With the help of our donors, new wells are being planned—each marking a turning point for the communities and families they serve. Clean water brings health, dignity, and hope, and it opens doors for lasting transformation.

A Simple Need With Life-Changing Impact

In many rural villages, families still rely on distant or unsafe water sources. Children often walk long distances to collect water, which can make them sick. Mothers spend hours each day carrying heavy containers. Illness interrupts school, work, and daily life.

When a well is drilled, everything changes.

As clean water begins to flow, the impact is immediate. Health improves as waterborne diseases decline. Children return to school more consistently. Families regain hours each day that were once spent searching for water. A single well becomes a gathering place—a visible reminder that the community has not been forgotten.

Endowing Communities for the Long Term

The Clean Water Initiative is about more than meeting an urgent need—it is about endowing communities with sustainable resources. Each well is designed to serve an entire village for years to come. Paired with sanitation stations, these projects improve hygiene, protect dignity, and strengthen public health. Villages are not only healthier—they are better equipped to grow, educate their children, and care for one another.

Education Begins With Access to Water

Access to clean water directly affects education—especially for girls. In many rural communities, girls often miss educational opportunities because they must travel long distances to collect water for their families. The hours spent walking, waiting, and carrying heavy containers frequently keep them out of the classroom. When a clean water well is placed within a village, that burden is lifted—allowing girls to return to school, remain consistent in their studies, and begin imagining a future shaped by education rather than daily survival.

The Gospel at the Center

Every well built through Global Servants is rooted in a clear purpose. We dig wells and build sanitation stations because Jesus calls us to love the least and the lowest. Each project is carried out in partnership with local churches and community leaders, and every community knows why this work is being done—because of the love of Christ. Clean water opens doors for relationships, trust, and discipleship. As physical needs are met, hearts are opened to hear the Gospel.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, more villages are waiting. More families are praying. More lives can be changed through the simple, powerful gift of clean water. Each new well represents health restored, opportunity renewed, and hope made visible.

This life-changing work is possible because of the generosity of Global Servants donors who faithfully partner in bringing health, hope, and opportunity to communities in need.

Watching our girls discover their worth, grow in confidence, and come to know Jesus is a privilege we never take lightly. This transformation doesn’t happen overnight—it happens through faithfulness, consistency, and love.

For Global Servants, this month reflects a mission we live out day-by-day all year—protecting vulnerable girls before exploitation ever occurs. A Global Crisis Rooted in Vulnerability Human trafficking thrives where vulnerability exists. Poverty, lack of education, family instability, displacement, and crisis situations all create conditions where girls are placed at greater risk. Globally, an estimated 27.6 million people are subjected to trafficking today, many of them children. Trafficking does not begin with exploitation—it begins with exposure. When children lack safe environments, consistent care, and access to education, traffickers find opportunity. That is why prevention is so critical. House of Grace: Protection Before Harm The House of Grace addresses vulnerability at its roots. Through Houses of Grace in West Africa and Southeast Asia, Global Servants provides safe, stable, and nurturing homes for girls who face significant risk due to circumstances beyond their control. These homes are built on the belief that protection, education, and love are powerful tools of prevention. At House of Grace, girls are: Surrounded by consistent, caring adults Given access to education and life-shaping opportunities Provided a secure and supportive environment Encouraged to discover their God-given value and purpose By removing vulnerability, House of Grace helps close the door before exploitation ever has the chance to enter. Prevention Through Presence Preventing human trafficking requires more than awareness—it requires long-term presence. Global Servants works alongside local churches, educators, caregivers, and community leaders to strengthen families and build protective environments for children. By addressing root causes such as poverty and lack of access to education, we help communities create lasting solutions that protect girls and change futures. Why Awareness Still Matters Despite global efforts and increased legislation, traffickers continue to adapt. National Human Trafficking Prevention Month reminds us that everyone has a role to play—from learning the warning signs to supporting prevention-focused ministries and praying for vulnerable children around the world. With Grateful Hearts This prevention-focused work is only possible because of faithful partners who believe protection is better than intervention after harm. Because of your generosity, girls are growing up in safe environments where hope is nurtured, education is prioritized, and dignity is protected. You are helping transform vulnerability into opportunity—and fear into hope. Prevention changes outcomes. Protection preserves futures. And hope begins with care. Thank you for partnering with Global Servants and House of Grace to provide a safe home for our girls.

For families in Tebeso, access to clean water has always been a challenge. Children often walked long distances to collect water that was unsafe for drinking, leading to sickness, missed school, and daily hardship. But on this visit, everything changed. As the drilling rig broke through the final layer of earth and fresh water burst upward, the village erupted with joy. Children ran toward the well site, dancing and cheering. Mothers breathed sighs of relief. Pastors and local leaders expressed heartfelt thanks. Ronny and Steve saw firsthand how much the new well meant to the families of Tebeso.
