We are happy to announce that the end-of-year testing for our ninth graders is complete!

All the girls at House of Grace Ghana attend Trinity Foundation School until the ninth grade. Upon completion of the ninth grade, the Ghanaian government administers the BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) test, which determines who qualifies for admission to secondary school and vocational schools. The exam is equivalent to the SAT in the USA.

The subjects covered by the test are:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Integrated Science
  • Social Studies
  • Religious and Moral Education
  • French Language
  • Ghanaian Language (Asante/Twi)
  • Basic Design and Technology (Visual Arts, Home Economics, Pre-Technical Skills)
  • Information Communication and Technology

This was a stressful time for everyone involved, and we are grateful for your prayers of support.

The first girls at House of Grace Ghana arrived in the same year (2011) but varied in age by several years. They are currently advancing to high school. We currently have one high school graduate. She lived at boarding school for two years and is back at House of Grace, preparing to take her university admission exams for midwifery school. Another girl will be starting her second year in high school this fall in Yendi, Ghana. The government placed her in a school close to her extended family, about a four-hour car ride from Kumasi. This year four girls will be attending Senior High School in Kumasi, which is thankfully closer to the home. The move to their respective school dorms was filled with anticipation about their successful futures.

As we progress to the next academic level with our older girls, we are excited to share photos from their first university visit.

“The older girls took a tour on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Being the largest and oldest science university in Ghana. The tour was to let them aim higher in Education as well raise their hope and dreams towards attaining higher standards in life. At the School of veterinary, a Lecturer of the university invited the girls for a career tour in veterinary in future. He was excited about the home and the interest the girls had. God bless you all for making this possible.”  – Dan Odarno, West Africa National Director

Why Laptops Matter for University Students For most university students, a laptop is essential. It’s where assignments are completed, research is done, and classwork is organized. Without one, students often have to share devices or wait in long lines at campus libraries. With their own laptops, the girls can manage their time wisely, keep all their coursework in one place, and develop confidence in their ability to succeed. This practical gift communicates something powerful: you are worthy of investment. That confidence motivates our girls to work harder and dream bigger. From House of Grace to Higher Education The journey from at-risk child to university student is nothing short of remarkable. What began as an act of rescue has grown into a story of restoration, education, and empowerment. Each laptop placed in the hands of a young woman at university is a visible symbol of transformation—a life once vulnerable now thriving, equipped, and prepared to lead. How You Can Help Stories like this are only possible because of generous partners who believe in education as prevention. By supporting Global Servants, you help ensure that girls not only grow up safe at House of Grace but also go on to achieve higher education and break cycles of poverty and exploitation for generations to come.

Why New Vehicles Matter From school runs and medical appointments to ministry outreach and community engagement, vehicles play a vital role in the daily rhythm of House of Grace. Reliable transportation ensures that the girls can get to school on time, receive proper healthcare, and participate in activities that enrich their growth and development. A Blessing for Staff and Students The addition of new vehicles also eases the workload for our staff, who faithfully serve the girls each day. With dependable transportation, staff can focus less on logistics and more on what matters most—caring for the girls and nurturing their spiritual, educational, and emotional growth. Expanding Our Reach Beyond daily needs, these vehicles also empower Global Servants to extend our mission into surrounding communities. Whether transporting supplies, welcoming visitors, or engaging in local outreach, the vehicles are tools that allow us to serve more people and share God’s love more effectively. Be Part of the Journey Every mile traveled in these vehicles represents an investment in safety, education, and ministry. Your partnership makes resources like this possible. When you give, you help provide the practical tools that ensure House of Grace continues to be a place of refuge and empowerment.
