Sharing the Gospel and Strengthening Churches in Honduras

Global Servants

Global Servants welcomes First Methodist Church of Tulsa for a week of evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral encouragement.

God continues to do wonderful things in Honduras! In September, Global Servants welcomed a ministry team from First Methodist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a special week of outreach, evangelism, and leadership development. Working alongside local churches and ministry leaders, the team helped share the love of Christ with families, encourage pastors, and strengthen the ongoing work of the Gospel throughout surrounding communities.

Reaching Communities with the Gospel

Throughout the week, the visiting team partnered with Templo Evangélico Emanuel (TEE) and other local congregations to conduct evangelistic outreaches in several villages, including Tronconeras, La Cooperativa, San Roque, 6 de Mayo, and Gran Villa.

Team members joined local church leaders in sharing the Gospel, praying with families, and encouraging believers. The team also participated in an evangelistic crusade hosted by Ebenezer Church of Nueva Campana, where participants reported powerful moments of prayer, salvation, and healing.

One particularly meaningful opportunity came through outreach to students attending local English classes. Team members shared the message of Jesus Christ with the young people, and several students responded by giving their lives to Christ.

Encouraging and Equipping Local Pastors

An important part of the visit focused on strengthening the pastors who faithfully serve communities throughout Honduras.

On September 22 and 23, Pastor Andrew Thompson and Pastor Todd Lovell led two mornings of fellowship, teaching, and spiritual encouragement with local church pastors. Fourteen pastors participated across the two days, with some accompanied by their wives. The gatherings provided an opportunity for pastors to share their testimonies, discuss their calling into ministry, and receive biblical encouragement. Sharing meals together also helped strengthen relationships and reinforce the unity among churches working to advance the Gospel.

A particularly special moment came when the First Methodist Church team presented each pastor with a Bible personalized with their name. These thoughtful gifts were deeply appreciated and served as a meaningful reminder that these faithful servants are loved, supported, and encouraged in their ministry.

A Partnership Making an Eternal Difference

The team also participated in worship services at Templo Evangélico Emanuel and a church in Tronconeras, where Pastor Todd Lovell preached and ministered to local congregations.

While the week was filled with meaningful ministry opportunities, its impact extends far beyond a single visit. By investing in local pastors, strengthening discipleship, and partnering with churches already serving their communities, Global Servants is helping build a foundation for continued spiritual growth throughout Honduras.

We are grateful for First Methodist Church of Tulsa, our ministry partners, and the dedicated pastors and leaders in Honduras who faithfully share the love of Jesus every day.
