A Joyful Day of Celebration and Encouragement at Asokwa Interchange

At Asokwa Interchange in Ghana, a special program was held to bring joy, encouragement, and meaningful connection to children from orphanage homes.

The gathering was created with a simple but powerful purpose: to spend time with the children, celebrate them, and give them a day filled with laughter, creativity, and fun. The program welcomed two different audiences and created an atmosphere where children could participate, perform, and enjoy being seen and celebrated. Throughout the day, several activities took place, including poem recitations, dance competitions, and other moments of joyful interaction.

One of the highlights of the event was a poem recitation by Abigail, who confidently shared her gift with those in attendance. Naomi, Karina, and Ophelia also took part in the dance competition, bringing energy and excitement to the celebration. Their participation reminded everyone that every child carries unique gifts, talents, and potential that deserve to be nurtured.

The event was also attended by respected dignitaries, including Hon. Haruna Iddrisu and Hon. Seid Mubarak. Their presence helped make the day even more meaningful for the children and families gathered there. The program took place in the Ashanti Region, where Dr. Frank Amoakohene serves as Ashanti Regional Minister. A medical practitioner and public leader, Dr. Amoakohene’s presence reflected the importance of investing in communities and encouraging the next generation.

One especially meaningful moment from the day was seeing Grace, one of the girls from the House of Grace, honored with a seat at the table alongside Dr. Frank Amoakohene and other government ministers. For Grace, this was more than a place at a table. It was a powerful reminder that her life has value, her future matters, and her story is still being written with purpose and dignity.

Moments like this reflect the heart behind the House of Grace. These girls are not forgotten. They are being loved, educated, encouraged, and given opportunities to grow into the women God created them to be. Seeing Grace seated among respected leaders was a beautiful picture of hope, honor, and possibility.

More than just a day of activities, the event at Asokwa Interchange was a reminder of the power of presence. For children in orphanage homes, time, attention, and encouragement can speak deeply. A poem, a dance, a smile, or a shared moment of laughter can become a lasting memory.

Events like this help children know they are valued. They create space for creativity, confidence, and community. They also remind leaders, families, and organizations that caring for children is not only about meeting physical needs, but also about giving them opportunities to experience joy, friendship, and hope.

As the children performed, danced, recited, and celebrated together, the day became a beautiful picture of what happens when a community gathers around its most vulnerable members. It was a celebration of childhood, a moment of encouragement, and a reminder that every child deserves to be loved, supported, and given the chance to shine.
