Something beautiful unfolded recently in the communities of Tronconeras and El Sauce, Honduras. Hundreds of children gathered with excitement and wide smiles as they received gifts—simple expressions of kindness that carried a much greater message: you are seen, you are loved, and you are not forgotten.
For Global Servants, meeting practical needs is also an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ. Whether we are sharing the Gospel, caring for children, supporting families, or working alongside local ministry leaders, our desire is that everything we do points people toward the hope found in Christ. For many of these children, receiving a gift was more than a moment of happiness. It was a reminder that people were thinking about them, praying for them, and investing in their community.
Caring for Children and Families
Alongside the children's celebration, our ministry partners provided mothers with practical resources to help care for their families. Deworming medication and vitamins were distributed to help support children's health and well-being—important resources in rural communities where families may have limited access to regular healthcare. Meeting needs like these is an important part of serving communities in Honduras. When we come alongside parents and local leaders, we have an opportunity to care for the whole person while building relationships through which the love of Christ can be shared.
A healthier child is better equipped to learn, grow, participate in school, and pursue the opportunities God places before them.
More Than a Gift
The smiles told the story. Children laughed together. Mothers received needed resources. Families experienced the encouragement of knowing that others cared about what they were facing. But our prayer is that the impact will reach far beyond one day. Global Servants is committed to working alongside local pastors, ministry leaders, and communities in Honduras to build relationships that create opportunities for lasting ministry. A gift, a meal, a health resource, or a helping hand can open the door to conversation, prayer, encouragement, and ultimately the opportunity to share the Gospel.
We want every act of compassion to point toward the greatest gift we can share—the hope of Jesus Christ.

A Note from Travis Rutland
"When we serve a child or come alongside a mother in Honduras, we're doing more than meeting an immediate need. We're building relationships and showing families that they matter to us and, more importantly, that they matter to God.
"I'm grateful for every person who gives and prays for this ministry. Your generosity allows us to go into communities like Tronconeras and El Sauce with both practical help and the hope of Christ. That's what Global Servants is about—serving people and sharing Jesus wherever God opens the door."
— Travis Rutland, President, Global Servants
